Dear workers and church leaders,
The 22nd Biennial Conference of the Saint Lawrence District will take place on May 30–31, 2025. We are pleased to announce that this year’s edition will be held in the Greater Montreal Area, at the District Ministries Centre / The 180 Church, located at 3190 rue Delaunay, Laval (QC).
The conference will begin on Friday afternoon, May 30, with a variety of workshops, followed by an evening gathering. On Saturday morning, we will come together for a concert of prayer, followed by our business session, which will include the District Superintendent’s report as well as the election of a new District Superintendent and members of the Executive Committee.
Our goal is to conclude our time together by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Here is some important information for you and your delegates.
GOALS
The goals of this year’s District Conference are to:
- Celebrate God's work among us since the last Conference
- Discover God’s plan for our C&MA family of Churches for the foreseeable future
- Elect the new District Superintendent and Executive Committee members, and adopt a visionary budget
- Renew old friendships… and build new ones
THEME
“For I know the plans I have for you…”
(Jeremiah 29:11)
This theme invites us to place our trust in God’s direction for the future of our church family, while discerning together the next steps He is calling us to take.

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS
We are happy to announce a number of pre-conference workshops that will be offered on Friday afternoon, May 30. These workshops are free of charge and even open to the public.
For a complete list of workshops as well as detailed descriptions, click here.
REPORTS
All the reports for District Conference will be found here. Please make sure to check this folder regularly over the coming weeks, as we will continue to add content.
The District Superintendent’s report, the report from the President of the Alliance Canada, the Nomination Committee’s report, the financial report, and others will be made available as soon as possible.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure these documents are made public (for example, by reading them, posting them on your church bulletin board, discussing them with your elder’s board, etc.). Making these reports available to churches in advance will be considered the first reading of the reports at District Conference. This will allow us to move directly to the second reading (discussion of the report).
DELEGATES
The number of delegates that churches are allowed to send is as follows:
- Organized churches can send at least 2 delegates to represent the church at Conference in addition to their pastor
- Developing churches can send one delegate in addition to their pastor
- For new ventures, only the official worker may attend
Each church must complete a delegate certificate (download it here) for each lay or corresponding delegate that is registered for the conference, and send it to the District office no later than May 16, 2025—by e-mail: troy@districtstlaurent.ca OR by mail: The St. Lawrence District, 3190 rue Delaunay, Laval, QC H7L 5E1.
For more information on representation for District Conference, please consult this document here.
LODGING AND MEALS
Each delegate is responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements.
We have secured a special conference rate at both the Best Western Hotel, which is located near the District Ministries Centre (3655 autoroute des Laurentides, Laval), and the Hampton Inn & Suites Laval (1961 boul. Curé-Labelle, Laval, QC).
When making your reservation, please be sure to mention that you are with the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Quebec group. IMPORTANT: This special rate is only available until April 30.
We are also exploring the possibility of offering billeting with members of local churches. If this option interests you, please contact the District office directly for more information. Please note that space may be limited, and we may not be able to accommodate everyone
SATURDAY LUNCH
During the registration process, you will be invited to choose from a list of boxed lunches that will be provided for lunch on Saturday, May 31. On the list, you will notice that there are both vegan and gluten-free options available for those with food intolerances.
